Raw vegan choc walnut bites

After my morning workout, I decided to head out for a walk in the incredible sunshine. I walked into the foreshore and then just lay in the sun reading my favourite bloggers posts for almost an hour. This was one post that was too good to keep to myself! I cannot wait to recreate these myself.

My Nourished Life

So this morning I had a serious craving for some chocolate and walnuts… I know, a little weird! Maybe it’s a delayed reaction from seeing everyone with their chocolate over Easter? Anyways, I am a firm believer that being healthy does not mean depriving yourself of delicious chocolatey treats so I came up with this recipe for raw vegan chocolate walnut bites with a white chocolate cashew icing. They are free from gluten, dairy and refined sugar but packed with good fats, protein, magnesium and antioxidants. Like any treat, they are an occasional thing to have, but with all the nourishing goodness in them you can enjoy them guilt free and they are super filling making them hard to overindulge in.

Base: [makes 12]

You will need:

  • 1/2 cup ground almonds
  • 1/2 cup of mixed (sunflower and pepita) seeds
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut
