IMG_0484How lucky am I to have been spoilt with some fresh produce (avocados and capsicums), straight from my friend’s family farm!?

HEALTH BENEFITS OF AVOCADOS:
– they contain more potassium than bananas
– 100g of avocado provides approximately 2 grams of protein, 15 grams of healthy fats and only 2 grams of “net” carbs as of the 9 grams of carbs, 7 of those are fibre!
– they do not contain sodium or cholesterol
– low carb and high GOOD fats
– they contain many essential nutrients such as Vitamin K, Folate, Vitamin C, Potassium, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6 and Vitamin E… just to name a few!

HEALTH BENEFITS OF CAPSICUMS:
– they contain anti-inflammatory properties
– aids in treating gastrointestinal disorders
– helps to improve skin health and signs of ageing
– beneficial in preventing diabetes.
