As you most likely know, my husband loves anything sweet. So if I can “spike his salad” to trick him into eating a serve of greens, I’m going to do it! This easy, flavorful strawberry salad is what I will be preparing for our family lunch on July 4th. It is satisfyingly sweet yet compliments BBQ and grill foods perfectly. The dressing is made with apple cider vinegar and dry mustard melds with the added sweetness of sliced strawberries. Which also happen to be red and therefore match the theme perfectly! My mother-in-law will be so impressed. Her food, table decor and in fact entire house is always themed and set perfectly…it’s like stepping inside a magazine!

Instructions
  1. Combine oil, vinegar, mustard, and poppy seeds in a small bowl; whisk to blend. Set aside.
  2. Combine spinach, strawberries, and green onion in a large serving bowl; mix well.
  3. Drizzle salad with dressing. Season with pepper; toss gently to blend.
  4. Top with cheese and almonds.
Recipe Notes

To make it SUPER SWEET try caramelizing the almonds in honey too! It's a crowd favorite!
