Bunless Burgers

*makes 6 serves
=233 calories per serve
  • 500g mince of choice (I used chicken)
  • chopped mint leaves
  • ground cumin
  • chilli, finely sliced
  • coriander
  • paprika
  • 1x garlic clove
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1x egg
  • 2x tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • coconut oil

1) In a large bowl, combine the mince,herbs, spices, chilli, garlic and breadcrumbs with the egg to bind them
2) Mix well until combined and herbs are evenly distributed in mixture
3) Divide the mixture into 6 patties using slightly dampened hands as the mixture is wet and sticky
4) Make each patty about the size of your palm, then press to flatten them
5) Place patties onto plate and refrigerate for 30 minutes or until firm
6) When it is time to cook your burgers, heat a little coconut oil in a large frying pan or grill plate over a medium heat
7) Fry the burgers for about 5 minutes on each side, making sure they are cooked all the way through
8) Remove from pan when brown and crispy on the outside
9) Serve with a garden salad
