The Banker Cafe on Urbanspoon

Today ‘The American’ and I travelled to Fremantle to indulge on some sweets and treats  at The Banker cafe. I have been following The Banker on instagram and regularly comment on how amazing their selection of donuts is. They have all sorts from salted caramel, lemon coconut, strawberries and cream and Oreo just to name a few. The coolest thing as well, is that you never know what flavour they will be stocking each day, so it’s like a surprise for your taste buds! Although donuts are not my most favourite treat, The American on the other hand LOVES them!

IMG_8355After strolling through town for a while, we wandered along High Street to The Banker, to find that it was a small cafe linked to a gorgeous furnishings and homewards store called Common Ground. It had a neat little set up with fresh flowers in vases on each table, newspapers readily available and the cutest little stools overlooking the street where we could post up and people watch. We were greeted at the counter by the pleasant waitress who, upon finding out that we had travelled from Mandurah to sample the donuts, was most apologetic as they hadn’t received their delivery of donuts today!

I must admit, we were shocked and a little disappointed but because the girl was so friendly and helpful, we settled for a slice of the double-choc gluten-free brownie and a square of turkish delight to accompany our coffees.

The coffees and treats were well priced, the service was cheerful and fast, the coffees were hot and the food was delicious. How could we complain? Plus it gives us a nice excuse to revisit The Banker again soon.
