On Saturday night the husband and I met with another couple for a delicious dinner at Koble Grill in Uptown Westerville. Scott and I have eaten here on several occasions and we have been impressed each and every time. Kobe has quickly become one of our favorite venues for lunch, dinner, happy hour… we are not fussy as everything on the menu is as good as the next. In saying that,  we decided to bring our newest friends to try it for themselves. It is always daunting bringing guests to a restaurant that you have spoken so highly of, since you hope it lives up to their expectations. Once again, Koble delivered!
Koble Grill is a casual, family friendly venue situated next door to Graeters Ice Cream. It is always lively and on  Friday or Saturday night you should expect some delays in finding a table, unless you are super early. But trust me… it is worth the wait! The staff is friendly and accommodating and will ensure you can find a spot at the bar to have a drink (and nibble if you like) until a table is cleared and ready. Koble has a great atmosphere although somewhat loud, with the bar placed right in the middle of the room, but it is a great place to catch up with friends or have a night out with your closest.
Although we have had to wait for a table on most occasions, we are always seated before their expected wait time which is always appreciated. Koble is laid back in that you place your food order at the counter by the kitchen where you also pay for your meal and then take the number back to your table. The servers bring your meal out which is great, but if you are expecting full service, you will be disappointed.
 MENU 4/5
Scott and I have tried many items on their menu (which I will list below) as I would recommend them all. However, the past two times we have dined in at Koble, I have ordered the exact same thing/s as it is delicious! So on Saturday I went for the usual: the Spicy Chicken Gyro ($7) and the Greek Salad ($6). The Spicy Chicken Gyro consists of grilled chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, banana peppers & spicy feta sauce. It isn’t overly spicy to be honest but just enough kick to be enjoyable. The greek salad which includes lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, onion and feta cheese is HUGE and I always take home enough for my lunch the next day- especially as it comes with 4 pita triangles too! I always ask for the dressing on the side as I like my salads “naked”, but it looks like it resembles an italian vinaigrette.
Eggplant Al Italian:
– Lightly breaded pan seared eggplant slices stuffed with ricotta cheese & topped with tomato & basil sauce.

Stuffed Peppers:
– Bell peppers stuffed with ground beef, rice & fresh herbs. Topped with tomato and basil sauce, romano cheese and served with a side salad.
Koble is extremely well priced with substantial sized meals starting at $6. Also, I have to make note of the amazing drink specials that seem to be all day/ every day. The “house red” which is a Cab Sav is $5 and seriously so good. So for $11, I can enjoy a glass of wine and a HUGE gyro or salad! You can’t beat that!
If you are after a quick, cheap (yet not nasty) and delicious meal… Koble is your neighbourhood gem!
