What an amazing meal we had at Lan Viet Market a few lunch times ago. We had spent the morning wandering through the North Market, sampling a variety of different foods and checking out the local produce of the Columbus area. Although there were many tempting vendors to choose from for lunch, we opted for Lan Viet Market due to their amazing Pho Bowls.
Scott chose the Beef Pho Bo ($9) whilst I chose the Chicken Pho Go ($8). Both consisted of rice noodles in a delicious broth, basil, scallions, cilantro, onions and bean sprouts. More impressive is that we both received a side of ginger, chilli flakes, lime, basil leaves, extra bean shoots and additional chilli sauce so that we could enjoy our Pho bowl to our own liking and taste.
Although Lan Viet had a small bar type area to sit, we decided to sit up top in the main food court area just for a better people watching venue!
We enjoyed slurping our soup and were both impressed with the satisfying meal for such a cheap price. I think that’s what I love most about Vietnamese cuisine- it is healthy, leaves you feeling satisfied and not too full and it is always cheap and fresh! Ok so there’s lots of things to like about vietnamese food. Haha
We had such a wonderful day at North Market. Thanks Lan Viet for our amazing lunch and for the fact and friendly service.
