Why are rest days just so hard for me?
Last week I trained 6 days in a row and took Saturday off. By Friday (my final workout) I felt so tight and knew I wasn’t training at my best. I just hate not going! 😂
My goal through this 8 week challenge (and beyond) is to lift heavier & get stronger so I know I need to take more rest days. Yesterday was a strength workout & I went hard. Although I’m not sore, I know I don’t need to be. Taking today off lifting will help my muscles to heal & grow.
I’m learning that rest days don’t require me to be still or lay on the couch all day, it’s just taking a 24(ish) hour break from your regularly scheduled workout routine.
