Palestine's 1st Female Weightlifter
This is a must-listen episode as we introduce our audience to the one and only Subreen Dari: Palestine’s first female weightlifter. She began weightlifting in 2015 at 29 years old after going through a traumatic experience, to help heal her depression. In 2019, the Palestinian Weightlifting Corporation approached her to ask if she wanted to compete and become the first female competitor for her country! Subreen is an inspiration for all women and her story is absolutely incredible.

The Truth about Postpartum Depression (PPD): Mental Health Awareness Month
Today’s episode is a special one. In this recording, we get to learn all about Mental Health from Dr. Elliot Philipson: a Medical Director of the Centering Pregnancy Program at Bon Secours Mercy Health in Youngstown Ohio. Doctor Philipson has delivered over 6000 babies and published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles in the medical literature and we feel very honored to have had the chance to speak with him, plus a special guest appearance from his wife, Sandy. If you needed any more reasons to listen, know that 20 million (1 in 8) Americans suffer from mental health and it is 2 times as common in women. Listen and learn important information such as: the symptoms and signs of postpartum depression, the difference between PPD and baby blues, risk factors and how to seek treatment. Sandy shares with us her incredible journey through PPD and provides generous advice as to how to help yourself and others affected by mental health.

Erin likes to allow herself additional options including, not doing the ‘hard’ task at all to see how that sits with her. Simone admitted to needing to sit with herself a little longer in the mornings rather than just being on ‘autopilot’ as she just gets up and goes before she can think about the consequences or options.
