While You Were Sleeping.

IMG_0252Ok, so it comes as no surprise to you that I will be out of action for quite some time. The surgeons have said any where between 8 weeks and 3 months! But I am keeping positive and assure you that I will be following their recommendations perfectly so that I can get back into my training and regular activities sooner rather than later.I have been busy devising a list of all the things I CAN do, whilst I am recovering.

  • I am going to be continuing my PT studies and attempting to sit the online examinations required to pass the theory units.
  • I will be reading a whole heap of books and novels that I have been wanting to read for a while, but haven't had the chance- such as "Inspired" and 'Girl Online"!(Any recommendations for me? I welcome and encourage ALL suggestions.)
  • I will be continuing to provide my clients with updated customised training and nutrition plans.
  • I will be starting the “WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING” segment to my website. To keep myself busy and to provide my followers with information, motivation and healthy recipes, I will be following the guidelines below:

IMG_5202MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY:On Monday’s I will be starting the working week with you, it is  the day to start new challenges, reach new goals and set the standard for the week to follow. This means I will be blogging about anything and everything motivational. It could be a quote, an inspiring story, a real life event and anything that moves me (not literally).TALK ABOUT IT TUESDAY:On Tuesday’s I will be talking about products, people, news events, restaurants and anything that has been prominent in my recovery in the week prior.IMG_7806“WOULD-HAVE-BEEN-WORKOUT” WEDNESDAY:Ok, I must say that I am (secretly) most excited about this segment. I will be unable to train, as you know, so I am going to be living through my followers. I will be providing you with a little insight into training programs, HIIT sessions, lifting guides and various other workouts that you might like to add into your weekly workout. I have had a lot of requests to post more of my workouts- so if you were one of those people- be sure to check in every Wednesday at least!Should you complete a Wednesday Workout, please do not hesitate to send me your photos/ videos/ comments as I will be needing some material to support this segment and I want to feature my followers!IMG_6362THANKFUL THURSDAY:On Thursday, we reflect!FIT FOOD FRIDAY:As most of you know, I post healthy, easy and nutritious meals and snack recipes in the Food for Thought section of my website quite regularly. Due to my surgeries, this may become problematic as I may be unable to cook for a few weeks, so I have set up the “Fit Food Friday” segment where I will be posting at least one healthy recipe every week so that you can still trial them at home for our families. Although I have prepped a lot of my post-surgery/ recovery meals that I will be able to share with you, luckily I will be getting some help from my parents also. My dad is a bit of a ninja in the kitchen so I am looking forward to brining you something a little different!
